Part IV · Map Knowledge and Space
13. Site Setups
Site setups are the one area of this book I have deliberately left thin. There are creators who cover every site on every map in far more depth than I could fit here, and going through them yourself is part of learning the game.
What follows is the structure to think in, using Oregon as the example.
Oregon — The Four Sites
- 2F Main Dorms Hall and 2F Kids Dormitory
- 1F Dining Hall and 1F Kitchen
- 1F Meeting Hall and 1F Kitchen
- B Laundry Room and B Supply Room
What a Setup Actually Consists Of
- Which walls are reinforced, and in what order
- Where the rotates go, so the site is traversable without stepping into the open
- Where the head holes and feet holes go, and what each one is watching
- Which hatches stay reinforced and which stay soft for rotation
- Where the cameras and traps go, and what each one is meant to catch
- Who holds what, and where the crossfires are
Learn one map completely before you spread yourself across all of them. Knowing every setup on a single map is worth more than knowing the first reinforcement on every map.
Where to Learn the Rest
- r6maps.com — interactive floor plans for every map
- r6calls.com — callout reference for every room on every map
- Ubisoft’s official map guides
- Sternab’s map blueprints and Fett’s blueprints
- Athieno’s attack and defence guides, which cover every site individually
